Canon EOS R6

The EOS R6 is an exciting, mirrorless system camera from Canon. On the one hand, the MSRP is only a few hundred EUR/USD above mid-range models such as the Sony Alpha 7 III or Nikon Z6, on the other hand Canon offers pro-level auto focus and a burst mode with up to 20 fps.

The Canon EOS R6 offers two SD memory card slots – both support the fast UHS-II standard and achieve an impressive 240MB/s in practice. We recommend using UHS-II enabled SD cards and at least 64 GB of storage. Video Speed Class V60 or higher is recommended for video recordings – the corresponding SD cards are marked with an -label.

Tipp: Due to the relatively low resolution of 20 megapixels, extreme fast SD cards are only necessary if long-term burst are to be taken at the maximum frame rate (20 fps). Shorter bursts or "only" 12 fps (mechanical shutter) can also be processed sufficiently fast by cheaper UHS-II or better UHS-I models.
