The Fujifilm X-H2 and X-H2S each offer a compartment for CFexpress and SD memory cards, the latter with UHS-II support. The clearly better choice in terms of pure write speed are CFexpress memory cards, all measurements and the best CFexpress memory cards for the Fujifilm X-H2 can be found in the corresponding article. SD cards, meanwhile, make sense mainly for video recording.
SD cards for 4K and 8K video
The Fujifilm X-H2 is comparatively picky about SD memory cards and does not reach the expected speed with all UHS-II SD memory cards. The best compatibility and at the same time the best price/performance ratio are offered by cheaper UHS-II SD cards with the video speed class V60. Corresponding models are marked with the logo in the table.
As one of a few cameras, Fujifilm offers, in most recording formats, the possibility to set the bitrate to 50, 100, 200, 360 or 720 Mbps. Apart from 720 Mbps, all other bitrates can be recorded with already mentioned V60 memory cards. Even 8K videos can thus be recorded onto SD cards at low cost.
