Sigma fp L

The Sigma fp L is the second full-frame mirrorless camera from the Japanese manufacturer and a potential treat for ambitious people, as it offers the combination of RAW videos (CinemaDNG) and a high-resolution 60-megapixel sensor for a comparatively low price.

The Sigma fp L supports the fast UHS-II standard, but there are no significant speed advantages in continuous shooting when using corresponding memory cards. According to our analyses, the bottleneck is the internal processing speed of the high-resolution pictures.

The high speed of UHS-II memory cards can only be used for RAW video recordings (CinemaDNG). However, filmmakers should rather think about the also possible use of an external SSD (USB-C) for data recording, especially due to the generally lower prices per gigabyte.
